FAQs

What is A Women’s Garden?

1

A Women’s Garden was designed as a show garden for the 2026 Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show. It is a collaboration between horticulturists Meg Blair (Gladmina Holistic Gardens), Georgina Honner (Ruby Saltbush & Co) and Sarah Jones (Bees Please Gardens).

What plants did you use to create A Women’s Garden?

2

We selected a variety of edible, medicinal and ornamental plants which provide nourishment to body and soul in a soft and comforting space. Our plant selection focusses on species locally native to the Bellarine and Geelong areas of Victoria, which is where we live.

When planning your own garden, we encourage you to consider the species which are locally native to your area. Reaching out to your local indigenous plant nursery is a great way to get started. For folks in Victoria, you can have a look here.

Can you recreate A Women’s Garden at my place?

3

The design principles of A Women’s Garden can absolutely be adapted to a real garden.

Please contact us so we can discuss whether A Women’s Garden would be suitable to adapt to your space.

Why do you have three business names? Do you work as a team?

4

We are three gardeners who found each other through our horticultural studies at The Gordon, and connected over shared interests in holistic design, community building, and environmental sustainability. We have individual business pursuits, and happily collaborate when the right project arises. Please contact us if you’d like to work with us as a team, and we can discuss further.
